Our Story

Grace in Kenya is a Global Outreach initiative established by Grace Community Church as a ministry to two rural communities in Western Kenya. In 2009, Grace in Kenya began as a partnership between Grace Community Church and a rural community of Kandaria. After 3 years, the ministry expanded to the town of Katito which is comprised of 6 communities. The ministry in Katito is based at House of Hope, a ministry that meets the needs of widows and orphans.

Our Partners

By partnering with leadership councils of Kandaria and Katito and the board of directors at House of Hope, we are able to reach many people with the Good News of Jesus Christ and bring hope to those living in these communities and surrounding areas. We support two couples as national missionaries in Kenya. Dr. David and Justine Okongó serve as directors of House of Hope, and Pastor Paul and Jane Ochola lead House of Hope Chapel. We use our time, talents, and treasures to implement personal investment programs and sustainable development projects in order to bring spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational well-being to this region.

In addition, we have partnered with Virgil Hughes and NewVines International to provide faith-based, personal finance and small business training.
