WHAT IS CHILD SPONSORSHIP?

Child Sponsorship is an opportunity to personally connect with a child and impact his/her life for the glory of God. Many children in Kenya are struggling to survive—they have been left orphaned with no means to live. Some are even living in the streets – they don’t have a roof over their head or food to eat. Some are mistreated or shunned by those around them because of their circumstances. Others have been diagnosed with diseases or have sick parents who are unable to work or care for them. How much does it cost?

The children eligible for this program will be assessed by the House of Hope board, along with leadership members of Kandaria and Katito. Each child must meet the criteria for a House of Hope sponsorship to be eligible. Children aged through 8th grade are $45/month and 9th grade and above are $65/month. The increase in cost is due to an increase in school fees.

What does child sponsorship provide?

By sponsoring a child through Grace in Kenya and the House of Hope, you give that child hope and a future. God will use you to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs of a child who would otherwise not have access to these resources. Your monthly gift provides your sponsored child with:

• Biblical teaching and counseling
• School tuition and fees
• Medical Care
• Personal hygiene
• School Uniform
• Mattress and Blanket
• Social Worker to oversee care of the child

how do i sponsor a child?

Getting involved is easy.

Step 1: Choose your child

Choose your child by clicking "View Profile" and follow the prompts to sponsor the selected child, set up an account and complete your sponsorship.  If there are no children available, please create an account to be placed on a waiting list.  Once a child becomes available, our Child Sponsorship Team will contact you.  

Step 2: Create Recurring Payment

Once you have set up your account and confirmed your sponsorship,  you will receive an email instructing you to create your recurring payment.  As Grace in Kenya is a ministry of Grace Community Church, your child sponsorship gift will be given to and sent through the church.  Please log on to Grace's secure online giving page.  If you already have a Grace account, you can login and set up your recurring monthly gift of either $45 or $65 in the "Approved Child Sponsor" fund.  If you do not already have a Grace account, please click "Sign Up" to create your account.  Then follow the previous instructions for setting up your recurring gift.
